Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2026. These terms summarise how engagements with the studio work. The written scope for a specific project — signed or otherwise explicitly agreed — governs that project where it differs from this summary.

Engagements & scope

  • Every engagement starts from a written scope: deliverables, exclusions, timeline, revision rounds, support boundaries, and price. Work outside the scope is quoted as a change request and approved in writing before it begins.
  • Timelines run from the point where the start payment, the client's completed brief and materials, and the written scope approval are all in place. Waiting on client materials or approvals pauses the timeline.

Payment

  • Direct engagements: 50% start payment under a written agreement; the balance is due on acceptance, before final handover completes.
  • Marketplace engagements (where offered) are conducted entirely within the marketplace's own payment and protection rules. We never request payment outside a marketplace for a marketplace engagement.

Revisions & acceptance

  • Each package includes a defined number of structured revision rounds; feedback is submitted as one consolidated list per round.
  • On delivery you receive an explicit five-business-day review window. Silence is not treated as acceptance unless an agreed written provision states so and applicable rules allow it.
  • Client assets — domains, hosting, accounts, files, and data — are the client's property from day one and are never withheld or locked in a payment disagreement.

Security services — additional terms

  • Security assessment work requires the system owner's explicit written authorisation and a signed scope document before any work begins. We assess only systems the client owns or is explicitly authorised to have assessed.
  • No security service guarantees security outcomes. Reports describe findings, evidence, severity, and remediation guidance as of the assessment date, together with the review's own limitations.
  • Penetration testing, continuous monitoring, and incident-response services are not offered.

Liability & disputes

We are responsible for delivering what the written scope promises, to a professional standard. Disputes are addressed first through documented discussion, then — for marketplace engagements — through the marketplace's mechanism, and then through documented escalation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
