An identity is a system, not a logo
A logo on a blank background proves very little. What a business actually needs is a system that survives contact with reality: a mark that still works as a loyalty stamp, colours with production values, type that holds in two scripts, and templates the owner can reuse without a designer on call. This concept — for a fictional specialty café — is built to that standard. Toggle the stage, copy the palette, and inspect the applications.
Identity concept for a fictional café. Finjan Alreeq does not exist. The identity system below — marks, palette, type and applications — is real design work, presented so you can judge the standard a branding engagement follows.
The lockups
PRIMARY — LATIN
PRIMARY — ARABIC
THE MARK
One diamond: the loyalty stamp, the cup-sleeve seal, the social avatar. A single shape the customer learns to recognise.
The palette — select any swatch to copy its hex
Hex values are production-ready: the same values a guidelines document would carry.
The type pairing
LATIN DISPLAY — LIBRE FRANKLIN EXTRABOLD, TRACKED CAPS FOR THE MARK; SENTENCE CASE FOR WORDS
Slow coffee, poured with intent.
ARABIC — IBM PLEX SANS ARABIC, GENEROUS LINE HEIGHT
قهوة على مهل، تُصب بقصد.
The system at work
CUP SLEEVE
FINJAN ALREEQ
The diamond seals the sleeve — no print on the cup itself.
LOYALTY CARD
Eight stamps; the ninth pour is on the house. The stamp is the mark — staff need one ink pad, not a printer.
SIGNAGE
The rationale
Deep green and brass were chosen against the category's default brown-and-kraft: the café should read calm and premium at arm's length, and the brass diamond carries the recognition. The diamond does triple duty — loyalty stamp, sleeve seal, avatar — because a one-person business cannot maintain five different brand devices. Both lockups are drawn at the same visual weight, so Arabic is a first-class version of the identity, not a translation pasted under the Latin.
What is real here — and what is simulated
| Implemented on this page | The complete identity system: both lockups, the mark, the five-colour production palette, the type pairing, and the social, packaging and signage applications — designed as one coherent set. |
|---|---|
| Simulated | The business. Finjan Alreeq is fictional: no café, products, printed materials or customers exist. |
| In a client engagement | The same system is delivered as a guidelines document with source files and ready-to-use social templates, handed over in the client's own accounts. |
